Radical Self-Responsibility

Radical Self-Responsibility is a super power, it’s the one thing in your life that gives you actual control… because you realize the ONLY thing you CAN control… It is how you respond to all the things you can’t.

Self-Responsibility means you and only you are responsible for the way your life looks, feels, operates, no matter the circumstances.

It’s not about self-blame, shame, or guilt, it’s about simply acknowledging, that you have the ability and power to choose to respond to whatever is in front of you in whatever way you choose.

I like to break it down using a method I created called S.E.L.F.

You lost your job? A relationship? An Opportunity?

Shift your story- bring the responsibility back to you.

“Wow, it really sucks this happened and now I have a choice…” (If you need take time to grieve, honor your feelings, and find your ground)

Empower/Educate yourSelf- If this is where I am at, and this is where I want to be… this is what I need.

Live It- Start taking action in the direction you want to go.

Freedom- Your life become what you desire, and you can now choose again.

It seems really simply but people love to blame other people, institution, all the things OUTSIDE of themselves but what they end up doing when they put the blame on the external is they give the power to the external rather than where it belongs… with them.

When you take your power back and take responsibility you are left with the power to choose something different.

It doesn’t mean it’s going to be easy, but you CAN do it, you DO HAVE the power, the knowledge, the time… It’s more about the ways in which you are choosing to invest it.
